Frequently Asked Questions

We have many ways you can save on Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner training:

  1. Early bird prices are available on all classes. Book early to get the best individual rate.
  2. Small groups in public training courses qualify for the early bird rate even after the early bird rate expires. For large groups, contact us for further corporate discounts and options.
  3. Groups of 10 or more can save on virtual private training. Contact us at sales@innovel.net for more information on group discounts.

If you have a small group (less than 10) you can register in our public Scrum training courses:

  • register online per person on separate transactions or as a single group on one transaction with a major credit card.
  • If you are seeking registration close to the course date for a group (approximately 1 week or less) and the early bird rate is not showing in your cart, contact sales@innovel.net  for a discount code to gain the early bird rate as a corporate rate for your group.
  • If you would like to pay by invoice or directly to Innovel, contact sales@innovel.net for payment arrangements. Payments by cheque, credit card and e-transfer are accepted. Full payment must be made prior to the course start date.

If you have a larger group (10 or more) we will be happy to provide information to you for a private training option. Contact

  • Innovel offers live classroom and live online (virtual) Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner and Certified Scrum Developer training public (open enrolment) and private courses in a variety of North American time zones as shown in our registration calendar. You may choose the time zone that works best for you, not necessarily where you are if you prefer other. European and Asian time zones are also available for private training upon request.
  • For virtual training, we have invested over 200 hours redeveloping and refining traditional in-person course lessons, methods, exercises and activities into an online format. We ensure our students have an exceptional learning experience that exceed the world-class Certified Scrum standards whether taught virtually or in a classroom setting.
  • Students are required to have a working webcam turned on and ability to speak to the instructor and other students with a working mic on their computer or an external device.
  • A combination of training techniques are used, including lecture, group discussions, simulations, collaborative exercises, and reflection. Mixed format classes help reach the different learning styles of each student. We have tested virtual collaboration tools and use those that allow the highest degree of stability with the greatest degree of interaction.

Examples: Participants collaborate on a shared Miro virtual whiteboard with face to face conversation in Zoom breakout rooms. This is a highly effective, fun, engaging virtual equivalent of “working around a table” in an in-person course.

The Scrum Alliance requires you to gain 16-hours of participation within a classroom training to be qualified for Certification. This is confirmed by the Certified Scrum Trainer who determines if you meet this criteria. If extraordinary circumstances require you to miss a few hours of training, take-home assignments can be provided. This must be arranged and approved in advance with the trainer. If you miss significant portions of a course, you will not be able to be Certified. You will need to re-register (and pay in full) to attend again in the future.
